Myles and I visited Lake George, New York in July with family. Although some places were closed due to COVID-19, most places were open.
Here is a list of things to do while you are visiting:
House of Frankenstein Wax Museum
Pinky’s Parasailing Adventures
Million Dollar Beach
Hiking in Lake George
I found this website that lists several hiking trails around Lake George and the surrounding area.
Here is a list of the trails that go around Lake George itself:
- Berry Pond Trail
- French Mountain
- Prospect Mountain
- Sleeping Beauty Mountain and Lake George Trail
- Black Mountain and Lake George Trail
- Cat and Thomas Mountain Trail
- Shelving Rock Mountain Trail
- Tongue Mountain Range Loop Trail
Places to Stay
- Alpine Village
- Fort William Henry Hotel and Conference Center
- Lakefront Terrace Resort
- The Georgian Lakeside Resort
- King Phillips Campground
- Lake George Escape RV Resort and Campground
- Adirondack Camping Village
Myles and I have stayed at both King Phillips and Lake George Escape Campgrounds. Both are very nice and close to the waterfront.
Alpine Village, which is where Vanessa’s parents stayed, is a nice place also. It is right on the lake and offers cabins as your home during your stay.
Of course there are a lot more resorts, campgrounds, hotels, and other places to stay while in Lake George, but this list gives you a start.
