Myles and I visited Lake George, New York in July with family. Although some places were closed due to COVID-19, most places were open.

Here is a list of things to do while you are visiting:

Fort William Henry and Museum

House of Frankenstein Wax Museum

Great Escape Theme Park

Pinky’s Parasailing Adventures

Million Dollar Beach

Lake George Battlefield Park

Lake George Historical Museum

Bolton Boat Rentals

Hiking in Lake George

I found this website that lists several hiking trails around Lake George and the surrounding area.

Here is a list of the trails that go around Lake George itself:

  • Berry Pond Trail
  • French Mountain
  • Prospect Mountain
  • Sleeping Beauty Mountain and Lake George Trail
  • Black Mountain and Lake George Trail
  • Cat and Thomas Mountain Trail
  • Shelving Rock Mountain Trail
  • Tongue Mountain Range Loop Trail

Places to Stay

Myles and I have stayed at both King Phillips and Lake George Escape Campgrounds. Both are very nice and close to the waterfront.

Alpine Village, which is where Vanessa’s parents stayed, is a nice place also. It is right on the lake and offers cabins as your home during your stay.

Of course there are a lot more resorts, campgrounds, hotels, and other places to stay while in Lake George, but this list gives you a start.
